नई दिल्ली. एजेंसी। इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग-2024 (IPL) के 17वें सीजन का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार कर रहे क्रिकेट फैंस के लिए बड़ी खुशखबरी सामने आई है। दरअसल, शेड्यूल को लेकर चेयरमैन अरुण धूमल ने एक बड़ा अपडेट दिया है। टूर्नामेंट की शुरुआत 22 मार्च से होगी और इसका पूरा एडिशन भारत में ही खेला जाएगा। ऐसी संभावना जताई जा रही थी कि अप्रैल-मई में लोकसभा चुनाव होंगे तो टूर्नामेंट को भारत से बाहर शिफ्ट किया जा सकता है, लेकिन टूर्नामेंट पूरी तरह से भारत में ही आयोजित हो इसका प्रयास किया जा रहा है।
बता दें कि चुनाव अप्रैल-मई में होने की उम्मीद है, यही वजह है कि आईपीएल के 17वें सीजन का पूरा शेड्यूल अभी तक जारी नहीं किया गया है। धूमल ने कहा कि हम सरकारी एजेंसियों के साथ मिलकर काम कर रहे हैं और पहले शुरुआती शेड्यूल जारी करेंगे। पहले 15 दिनों का ही शेड्यूल बताया जाएगा और बाकी मैचों की तारीखें चुनाव की घोषणा के बाद तय की जाएंगी। इस बार सभी मैच देश के घरैलू मैदान में हो ऐसी योजना बनाई जा रही है।
चुनाव में पहले भी फंस चुका है मैच का शेड्यूल
बता दें कि साल 2008 से शुरू हुई इस लीग में अकसर हर 5 साल बाद देश के आम चुनावों के साथ इसका शेड्यूल फंसता है। पहली बार साल 2009 में ऐसा हुआ था, तब इस लीग को साउथ अफ्रीका में आयोजित किया गया था। इसके बाद साल 2014 में जब ऐसा हुआ था तब इस लीग का कुछ कार्यक्रम संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (UAE) में आयोजित किया गया था, जबकि आधा कार्यक्रम में भारत में हुआ था। साल 2019 के लोकसभा चुनावों के दौरान इस पूरी लीग को देश में ही आयोजित किया गया, तब चुनावी कार्यक्रम के चरणों के साथ इस लीग को आयोजित किया गया था।
